Security Guard Casual Relief

Barber Collins is looking for Casual / Relief guards to cover sick and vacation shifts at sites around Waterloo Region and the Guelph Area.

Duties:

  • Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises
  • Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV cameras and other security equipment
  • Enforce access control procedures and verify the identity of individuals entering or exiting the premises
  • Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, and take appropriate action
  • Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of securityrelated activities
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries or concerns

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques, security procedures, and loss prevention strategies
  • Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security equipment
  • Excellent observation skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Physical fitness and ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time

Salary:
$18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours:
per week

Schedule:

  • 12 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Waterloo Region, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
