Reports directly to the Director, Railing Division on all matters. The Project Manager oversees and directs all aspects of his/her assigned project(s). From the award of the project, through drafting and design, take-off and breakdown, to production, delivery, and installation. The Project Manager ensures the project meets all schedules in a timely manner and within prescribed budgets. Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Architectural Technology Construction Management or Civil Engineering;
Project Management Professional Certification is an asset.
Minimum 5+ years of project management experience.

On site work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks that require knowledge of and adherence to basic safety procedures and precautions;
Work environment requires having PPE for all site work and in certain other locations;
At times, requires driving a company vehicle to visit sites, clients or suppliers to pick up samples;
Full Health and Safety standards on site; Flexible to work overtime as required.
Detail oriented with the ability to read architectural drawings;
Ability to act as a mentorship to Project Coordinators, Project Managers and Field Managers as required;
Ability to work on many projects that are large and complex;
Communication with coworkers daily by telephone, email and in person;
Study the project (scope of work, specifications, and other tender documents) and identify any discrepancies;
Review the project contract at project start up;
shop drawing submittal date, material take-off, and first delivery date;
Review samples with Project Coordinator prior to requesting to supplier;
Scope of Work meeting before shop drawing start;
Project Start up Meeting;
Project Close-out meeting;
Send Requests for Information (RFIs) to the Construction Manager to clarify discrepancies or ask Project Coordinator to send it;
Review meeting minutes completed by Project Coordinators;
Request and follow up with the Field Manager and/or site Superintendent to mark up shop drawings showing latest finished floor heights, terrace buildups, and curb thickness required per engineer;
Request and follow up with the Field Manager for site measurements;
Inform the Director, Railing Division if schedule cannot be met due to certain issue(s) immediately;
Record materials in excel to track orders and work for any missing, broken, remake, service, extra, on-hold railings;
Work closely with Field Managers and other site staff to assist in resolving outstanding issues and to track schedule;
Attend, as required, scheduled consultant, coordination, and site meeting;

Any other tasks assigned by the Director, Railing Division; Represent State, as requested, in business with customers, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
