Position Overview:

Experience:

  • Basic 40 hour CSGB (Certificate) or a minimum of 3000 hours of guard experience.
  • Prior security work experience preferred.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate):

  • Completion of a high school or equivalent program of studies (GED), Manitoba standards required.
  • Diploma from a recognized educational institution for Security Officer Training or a combination of previous experience as a Peace Officer or military background.

Certification/Licensure/Registration:

  • Basic First Aid certification required.
  • Must have a valid and clear Manitoba driver's license. (Driver's abstract required)

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.

Physical Requirements:

  • Good physical and mental health required.
This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective bargaining agreement

  • Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT._ _The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, Grace Hospital, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Pan Am Clinic, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA corporate programs, and WRHA community health services._
