This is a full time permanent position based out of the Ottawa Distribution Centre reporting to the Manager, DC Operations.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supervise the shift activities within a busy unionized DC environment
  • Training of new and existing employees and performance management
  • Ensure that customer service targets and goals are successfully met
  • Ensure the company's Health and Safety, Operational and Budgetary efficiencies are met
  • Exemplify the Company's dedication to customer service
  • Other responsibilities involve Inventory, Fleet and Warehouse Management, Quality Control, SOX and Audit compliance
Who You Are - Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • A postsecondary education
  • A minimum of 5 years of operations experience
  • Previous experience in a unionized environment a strong asset
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • The ability to make sound decisions in a timely fashion
  • Proven leadership ability to effectively manage the team of direct reports
  • Above average communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point
  • Previous experience with SAP is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety, Ministry of Transportation and WSIB regulations would be an asset
  • Must have a valid G license
  • The availability to work all shifts in a 24 hour operation is necessary to succeed in this role
