About the RoleAs the VP of Architecture, you will play a key role at 360insights. You and your team will define the architecture of 360's platform.Your responsibilities will include establishing, updating, and maintaining the SaaS platform architecture to ensure that the 360 platform is designed for scale, security, and extensibility.
In your role, you will lead the platforming of 360's enterprise systems, ensuring the presence of short, medium, and long-term architectural plans and deliverables.
The VP of Architecture is accountable for the communication of the architecture to numerous teams utilizing the architecture in the development of 360's platform.
Additionally, this position is responsible for overseeing the architectural standards and practices employed by the teams in defining and delivering the platform.
Drawing input from several technology discipline leaders (product, infrastructure, security, etc.), the VP, Architecture will formulate the architectural strategy, tactics, standards, and communications to ensure that delivery teams receive the necessary architectural guidance for successfully delivering the platform.
The VP's duties also encompass maintaining, communicating, and fostering alignment in the architectural blueprint and the overall vision within the 360 organization.
ResponsibilitiesRefine and communicate a comprehensive architectural vision for the unified SaaS platform and evangelize this internallyLead, develop and coach a team of architects in the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance solutionsCollaborate with the technology delivery teams to design solutions in line with the architecture to ensure the solution design achieves stated goals related to features, flexibility, scale and securityLeverage industry trends, innovations, emerging technologies, and best practices in the design of the platform (e.g. microservices, AWS cloud native serverless computing, etc.)Creation of data, application and infrastructure architectures and business intelligence strategies, blueprints and architectural standards and guidelines Apply governance processes to ensure portfolio alignment and compliance with company information standardsDirect contribution to delivery planning - working closely with product management, development management and delivery management to ensure a pragmatic, optimized and accelerated path forward for solution deliveryRationalization of multiple technologies into a cohesive optimized platform design Continued advancement of architectural competency and effectiveness of the architecture team Partnering with the product management team to provide strategic insight and contributions to the product development strategies Contributing critical insight to vendor and technology selection decisions by executive leadershipStrong, clear, and concise communication across the business and technical community to illustrate the architectural direction, options, deliverables, and timingRequirementsApproximately 10 years of experience driving architecture design in a software product development environment, with at least 3 years in a people leadership roleApproximately 5 years of experience in an Architecture Leadership position (ideally at a SaaS company) Expertise in cloud technologies (serverless computing, storage, networking, security), microservices (breakdown monolithic applications into services) , cloud security best practices (encryption, IAM, network), monitoring, and logging Experience building a SaaS platform from scratch or re-building/re-platforming a SaaS enterprise platformExperience with AWS cloud technology is an asset (AWS accreditations also an asset) Strong knowledge of security principles and experience implementing security measures in a SaaS environment Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Experience in an agile product development environment as a software architectAbility to lead reverse engineering of current state based on existing legacy data modelsExperience with systems that are both B2B and B2C, with high transactional volumes, is preferredHistorical experience as a Software Developer Experience working with scaled agile scrum development teams Experience collaborating with product management teamsExperience with transactional system architecture Excellent communication skills including ability to convey complex architectural concepts to business and product management teamsExperience working on financial systems is an assetBenefits360insights offers team members many perks and benefits, including competitive health benefits and supportive people policies:
