Civil Site Superintendent
Full-time permanent position
You're an experienced civil site construction superintendent, who is ready to dig into your next role.

We're Raise, and we've joined forces with our client, a locally owned full-service General Contractor who focuses on heavy civil projects and specializes in complex public works projects for a variety of sectors including municipalities.

Civil Site Superintendent

As the new Civil Site Superintendent, you'll be responsible for overseeing the construction process and are responsible for overall construction activities within the established design, budget, and scheduling guidelines.

Supervises construction workforce and oversees on-site construction activities to construct the project effectively, safely and within budget
oversees own-forces crews and subcontractors and manages the work
Develops and maintains open communication with crews, trades, project team and clients to ensure project performance, safety and quality requirements are met
Monitors and executes the project construction plan; Leads effective site meetings with the team
Examines field conditions, corrects inaccuracies and implements cost-saving measures
Understands project scope and applies engineering principles to troubleshoot and resolve challenges
Collaborates with Project Manager to implement Safety program and maintain all safety documentation
Maintains project administration correspondence, and complies with all project documentation requirements
Develops strong relationships with all project stakeholders including clients
They know how to implement quality and health & safety standards onsite.
This is a full-time permanent position.

You spend most of your time on-site, much of the work is in the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, and Sunshine Coast.

Minimum 5+ years of supervisory experience as a Civil Superintendent on earthworks, underground utilities projects, and site services
Experience working on heavy civil projects for municipalities is a must-have
Experience operating heavy civil machinery/equipment
Knowledge of the city, suppliers, subcontractors, and services is a must
Experience working on projects located in the lower mainland and/or Fraser Valley
A valid Driver's License is required for this position
Strong understanding of the construction industry and business operations, including cost management processes and reports, construction specifications and methods, contract language, project planning, and schedules
Knowledge of local quality, guidelines for construction job sites
Working knowledge of computers and experience using Microsoft Office Suite
