Summary

The Leadership Development Program Manager collaborates with the Director of Organizational Development to strategize and implement the overall talent development direction and objectives of the organization.

You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, delivering, and enhancing Medavie's leadership development approach, encompassing learning journeys, solutions, tools, and assessments.

By executing related development initiatives and projects, you will facilitate the enhancement of individuals' and teams' leadership skills to bolster company objectives, organizational culture, and values.

As a Program Manager, you'll engage with internal and external stakeholders, HR collaborators, and Business Segment Leaders to ensure effective execution of strategies and solutions for cultivating a strong and diverse leadership pipeline.

You will offer strategic input for corporate program design and implementation, focusing on leadership development and learning, and play a crucial role in supporting vital talent management efforts related to Performance Management, Career Development, and Succession Planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion Medavie Values and lead the growth of our Leadership Development strategy catering to various leadership requisites, whether for emerging, new, established, or experienced leaders.
  • Supervise the continuous establishment of objectives, planning, development, coordination, implementation, and assessment of leadership development journeys, programs, and solutions to uphold the desired organizational culture, drive high-performance levels, and achieve business goals.
  • Function as a Project Manager in overseeing the execution of leadership development programs and corporate events, including structuring annual delivery schedules, project schemes, resource allocation, and financial management.
  • Provide counsel and expertise to key stakeholders for identifying leadership developmental needs and devising tailored solutions, programs, and tools that align effectively.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and training vendors/consultants to create high-quality, innovative learning experiences, training content, and skill-building solutions for the organization, utilizing both traditional and modern methods with a strong focus on sustainability.
  • Manage associations with third-party vendors/suppliers as necessary to procure and provide leadership development services according to the organizational roadmap.
  • Keep updated on the latest trends and advancements in talent management, maintain an industry-relevant community of practice related to talent management and leadership development, and contribute thought leadership internally in this domain.
  • Ensure the implementation of measurement metrics (KPIs) for programs and solutions to evaluate their effectiveness and impact.
  • Generate reports and presentations to highlight progress, identify obstacles, and secure support and sponsorship from senior leadership for future initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field like Adult Education, Business, Organizational Development, or Industrial Psychology (Possessing a Master's degree is a significant advantage).
  • 8-10 years of progressive HR exposure, with at least 7 years specifically focusing on Leadership or Learning Assessment and Development.
  • Considerable experience in formulating, devising, planning, and implementing Leadership Development Journeys and Experiences.
  • Proficiency in utilizing various assessment tools (360 feedback, psychometric, leadership assessments) to bolster development experiences.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodology, training, and facilitation.
  • A track record of effectively aligning learning strategies and programs with organizational strategies, and delivering tangible business or people-related outcomes. Proficiency in project management and multi-stakeholder coordination.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or Learning Experience Platforms (LEP) is advantageous.
  • Experience in content creation using tech-driven learning tools (Captivate, WebEx, Adobe, Menti, etc.).
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken bilingualism (French and English) is a valuable asset.
