What you will do:

Reporting to the Manager, Wellness Education and Programs, the Health Promotion Facilitator will assist with the planning, implementation and evaluation of programs and services related to sexual violence prevention and education, peer wellness services and other initiatives within the Student Wellness and Equitable Learning portfolio.

Duties include (but are not limited to).

Oversee Humber and Guelph-Humber student enrollment in SWEL courses within Blackboard (e.g., It Takes All of Us, etc.) and validate co-curricular record requests. Assist with outreach initiatives, including but not limited to booking spaces, organizing promotional supplies, coordinating table arrangements with facilities and providing education to faculty, students and staff (e.g., Orientation, Take Back the Night, Humber Let's Talk etc.). Facilitate upstream trainings within the SWEL portfolio (e.g., Recognize, Respond and Support Learners in Distress, Bringing in the Bystander Intervention etc.) Assist with the design and delivery of programs and services that enhance student success, well-being and sense of belonging. · Assist with collecting, organizing, and analyzing service user data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Conduct research to search for best practices and evidence to inform programs and services. Collaborate with team members (IGNITE, Health Centre etc.) from diverse functional areas to achieve common goals and create a holistic student experience. Assist with student staff supervision; helping staff navigate SWAC spaces Preparing reports and presenting findings that demonstrate the value of our contributions to the institution.​

What schedule you will work:

Primarily in-person with occasional remote hours and weekends in alignment with SWEL obligations (e.g. Open House) and operational hours 8:30am to 6:30pm Qualifications

What you will bring to the role:

Education

2-year college diploma in an academic discipline that is transferable to the role (wellness coaching, psychology, social service worker etc.) or acceptable combination of equivalent experience

Experience

1-year of relevant experience in assisting with program development, planning, implementation, and evaluation Experience with facilitating workshops, supporting events, and assisting with working groups. Familiar with working with postsecondary students or a youth population. Prior experience using management systems, Microsoft Office applications and internet-based platforms (e.g. Canva) Able to collect, organize, and analyze information to prepare communications and use evidence to inform programs and services.

Skills

Strong technical skills, ability to problem-solve and take initiative Effective organizational, time management and planning skills with proven ability to multi-task and address priorities. High degree of professionalism and attention to detail Excellent communication and collaborative skills with the ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team.
