Position Overview: To provide routine maintenance, repairs, and installations in residential and commercial structures


Job Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems and fixtures and other plumbing equipment in residential and commercial structures
  • Collaborate with general contractors, electricians and other construction professionals
  • Marking positions for pipe connections and fixtures in walls and floors
  • Follow building plans and blueprints
  • Respond to, diagnose and resolve plumbing emergencies
  • Preform routine inspections or plumbing and drainage systems
  • Cutting openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
  • Measuring, cutting, bending and installing pipes using hand and power tools
  • Joining pipes using clamps, screws, bolts or cement
  • Welding pipes; testing pipes for leaks
  • May work indoors, outdoors, alone or with a team of other professionals
  • Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed and materials used

Qualifications/Skills

  • Red Seal Designation or may consider the right apprentice
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in plumbing trade
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and safety practices
  • Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, ABS, PEX, cast iron and copper
  • Deadline and detailed oriented
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and complete projects unsupervised or unassisted
  • Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Trustworthy, Honest, Reliable
