Position Summary:
Working under the supervision of Dr. Terence Coderre, in his lab and and will assist with behavioral nociceptive testing of laboratory mice.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in developing animal models of inflammatory or neuropathic pain in laboratory mice.
  • Perform behavioral testing of mechanical allodynia, thermal hyperalgesia and motor performance in neuropathic mice at regular time points following injury
  • Perform analysis of spontaneous pain in video recordings of mice
Aid in spinal cord tissue sample preparation following behavioral testing

  • Data entry and analysis
  • Prepare progress reports
  • Write reports to summarize data and the implications of the results.
  • Attend project meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate student with previous laboratory experience performing behavioral nociceptive testing in mice.

Hourly Salary:
$18.00
