Medical Office Assistant

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage patient appointment check in and check out.
  • Office administration duties filing patient forms, patient reminder calls and booking appointments for patients.
  • Supervise and test urine drug screens.
  • Once trained to perform and assess vitals as required.
  • Previous experience with Electronic Medical Records is an asset
  • OSCAR.
  • Previous experience in a medical setting is an asset verification of health card, scheduling, data and document management.
  • Communicate with lead physician
  • Connecting patients with physicians over virtual networks as needed from time to time.
  • Maintaining a healthy and hygienic work/patient environment.
  • Having a patient centered approach to providing care.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Certification in First Aid/CPR is required.
  • A certificate in Medical Office Administration or Health Services is an asset.
  • Previous experience in Customer Service or with vulnerable populations with addiction and mental health is considered an asset.
  • Ability to provide a Criminal Reference Check if required.

Part-time hours: 6-8 per week

Salary:
$19.00-$21.00 per hour
