Ideally you should be a quick learner, very professional in attire and speech, adaptable, able to multi-task, have excellent communication skills, and make quick decisions and prioritize in a very fast paced environment.

You should thrive where there is a high demand for you to perform and genuinely enjoy teamwork. Open availability and full time preferred, weekend availability is required.

Miku is an award-winning Japanese restaurant, located in Coal Harbour, downtown Vancouver. Miku is known for its distinct Aburi-style cuisine, breathtaking views and energetic dining experience. We are looking for enthusiastic, professional individuals to join the team.

As part of the Front of House team, you will play an integral role in providing exceptional customer service to ensure guest satisfaction.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum one year of experience in an upscale restaurant or similar setting.
  • Open availability (parttime and fulltime positions available, weekend availability is required).
  • Permanent position with potential to move up within the company.
  • Must be available to work for more than one year.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Strong sense of teamwork.
  • Positive attitude, professional and formal demeanour.
  • Interest in Japanese culture and cuisine beneficial.
  • General food knowledge is required.
All staff must go through Server Assistant training prior to moving into the Food Runner and/or Expeditor role.

The training in the dining room as a Server Assistant allows you to gain valuable experience on the service aspect of Miku.

Depending on your qualifications and work quality, your progression to Food Runner/Expo can take anywhere from 1-3 months.
