Tycho Poly is a leading supplier of blown polyethylene film located in Woodbridge, Ontario. We are currently looking for an experienced Quality Control Manager to join our manufacturing team.

Quality Control Manager:_

Reporting to the Production Manager, this individual will be an essential part of the Tycho Poly team. The Quality Manager will ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and align with customer specifications. This individual will be responsible for managing the company's quality policies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor and perform quality checks on inprogress and finished products.
  • Inspect and do quality checks on work orders, labels, WIP, finished products and collect samples for retains.
  • Collect and conduct QC data analysis.
  • Perform root cause analysis and propose solutions for quality discrepancies.
  • Create production quality standard documentation.
  • Perform monthly calibration on scales and thermometers.
  • Conduct customer complaint investigations and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Take full responsibility of quality inspections on all materials at the plant.
  • Read and understand all the instructions on the work orders.
  • Perform regular quality checks on every single product that is produced at shop floor.
  • Inspect and approve quality of materials made by vendors.
  • Approve samples being sent to customers.
  • Approve and document packaging materials and packing instructions.
  • Check labels to make sure all special instructions are followed correctly, and employee numbers and date are stamped on the labels.
  • Verify labels/stickers on the box are nicely aligned, straight, and not upside down.
  • Work with shift supervisors to identify root cause of defects and take corrective actions, if necessary.
  • Report quality issues to shift supervisor, production manager, plant manager or top management if applicable.
  • Measure product dimensions, and count or weigh materials to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Help stock code BOM setup in ERP System.
  • Report the cleaning every day, check all areas when you started and when you leave.
  • Responsible for the quality of all the products we send out.

Qualifications:_

  • 13 years of experience as a Quality Control Manager or in a similar role.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience, in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Work experience in blown film or plastic extrusion industry is a strong asset.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems is an asset.

Salary:
$20.00 per hour
