The Physician Assistant, under the direction and supervision of the head doctor, and in accordance with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario's policy on delegation, the Physician Assistant (PA) provides medical care to patients based on mutually agreed upon guidelines.


Part Time On-Site Opportunity

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Obtain Informed Consent as appropriate
  • Checkin procedure
  • Follow up with patients as directed
  • Assist with various examinations such as Pap, Physicals, Vaccination etc. as directed.
  • Assess Lab Results
  • Exercise reasonable care and caution in protecting confidential and sensitive information related to clients
  • Maintain accurate, complete, legible and timely data entry
  • Performs other tasks and projects as assigned
  • Exercise reasonable care and caution in protecting confidential and sensitive information related to clients
  • Conduct screening, physical exams, review blood results, investigation on ECG's reports, X-Ray, Ultrasound MRI etc.
  • Assist with all reception and frontdesk duties and provide support to management as directed.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • IMG Graduate
  • Marketing skills a big asset
  • Effective organizational skills, time management skills, interpersonal skills, problemsolving skills, and communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Experience in a fastpaced primary care clinic environment is an asset
  • Ability to Multitask
  • Team player willing to roll up their sleeves
  • Excellent attitude, pleasant & professional


Under the direction and supervision of a registered physician, and in accordance with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario's policy on delegation, the Physician Assistant will actively participate in the provision of medical care to patients in our family practice & walk-in clinic.

The role will include but may not be limited to:

  • Conducting patient interviews, taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, and interpreting findings
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
  • Formulating clinical treatment plans
  • Organizing sameday and followup appointments
  • Promptly following up on incoming results and providing patient consult & follow up
  • Performing controlled acts and procedures in accordance with medical directives
  • Administrative duties including form completion, prescriptions renewals, and other administrative duties as deemed necessary by the physician

Requirements:

  • IMG or Graduate of a Physician Assistant Program (Canadian/US)
  • Superior written/oral communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Demonstrated effective problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent organization skills and an ability to work efficiently to prioritize tasks.
  • Superior work ethic, professionalism, and reliability.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding patient care.
  • Competent in the use of computers with knowledge of Accuro EMR
  • Preferable.

Job Types:

Part-time hours: 25-35 per week

Salary:
$20.00-$25.00 per hour
