This role is based in Calgary and involves managing the historical data from 17 gas plant systems and integrating it into a unified system.
The ideal candidate will take ownership of our software system, with a strong IT focus, and play a pivotal role in preserving and leveraging our company's rich history.
ResponsibilitiesData Integration:
Collect and integrate historical data from 17 gas plant systems into a single unified system.
Software System Ownership:
Manage and oversee the Inmation system, ensuring its effective operation and data integrity.
Historical Documentation:
Document and archive significant historical records, including technical documents, operational data, and historical milestones.
Data Analysis and Visualization:
Utilize tools like Aspen One Process Explorer and similar to analyze and visualize historical data.
Automation and Customization:
Develop Lua scripts for automating data processing tasks and customizing workflows within the system.
Secure Data Management:
Ensure secure data transfer and verification, leveraging technologies such as JSON and MongoDB.
Collaboration:
Work closely with IT, engineering, and operational teams to gather accurate historical data and insights.
Reporting:
Generate comprehensive reports and visualizations that effectively communicate historical findings and trends.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Proficiency in
JSON:
Experience in using JSON for data interchange and processing.
Lua Programming:
Skilled in scripting with Lua to automate and customize data workflows. (python experience will be considered)
MongoDB Expertise:
Hands-on experience with MongoDB for flexible and scalable data storage.
Inmation or Similar:
Familiarity with Inmation or similar industrial information management systems.
Experience with Honeywell Systems:
Previous experience working with Honeywell systems.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Corporate Historian Experience:
Previous experience as a corporate historian is a plus.
- OSI PI: Knowledge of OSI PI for real-time data management.
Emerson IP21:
Familiarity with Emerson IP21 data historian systems.
Aspen One Process Explorer:
Experience with Aspen One Process Explorer for data visualization and analysis.
