Traffic Control Person (Flagger)
Bourque Security Security Services NS is seeking hard-working, dependable, and safety-oriented workers to join our traffic control team.

As a Traffic Control Person, you shall be responsible for assisting and the directing of traffic through our temporary workplaces under the supervision of a Temporary workplace Signer and in accordance with the Nova Scotia Traffic Control Manual.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work under the direction of a certified Temporary Workplace Signer (TWS).
  • Assist in setting up signs, bases, cones, and other equipment used in temporary workplaces for construction/maintenance and utility work.
  • Safely direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic through the Temporary Workplace.
  • Maintain professional communication fellow TCPs and your TWS to ensure continued site safety.
  • Maintain a professional & polite attitude with the public and clients at all times.
  • Allow work to proceed safely and efficiently.
  • Arrive well rested and with the required Personal Protective Equipment for every shift.
  • Report all unsafe work situations and conditions to the TWS
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be of good physical and mental alertness.
  • Must be of mature judgement.
  • Must be of pleasant, cooperative manner.
  • Must be able to lift and move objects of 50lbs.

Certifications:

  • Drivers License (Preferred/not required)
  • Nova Scotia TCP Certificate (Preferred/will train)
  • First Aid Course (preferred)
  • WHMIS (preferred)

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time

Pay:
$15.50-$16.25 per hour
