We are looking for a Supervisor for our afterschool program. To be successful in this role, you should be enthusiastic, outgoing and passionate to work with young kids, you will be a licenced ECE and have at least 3 years previous supervisor experience

Responsibilities:

Training and Supervision

  • Provide supervision to the staff and ensure programs delivered at its best.
  • Support in recruiting and training the staff team, ensuring the team are engaging the kids in the programs, and ensuring highest quality programs are being delivered
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute activities while guiding children in personal growth and daily living skills
Relationship Building

  • Continuously build and maintain strong and positive relationships with children and their parents, ensure all the kids having a positive camp experience
  • Responding to parent inquiries in a courteous and prompt manner, help the parents to select the programs suits their best interests.
Leadership and management

  • Support in coaching and managing the staff team as well as establishing and maintaining a positive and healthy team environment
  • Support in creating and coordinating the schedules, staff shifts, activities schedules and any other events.
  • Maintain the program inventories and supplies, organizing supply orders as needed
Safety

  • Ensure a safe, warm and caring program environment is maintained all the time.
  • Provide emergency procedures as needed, Clean/ Organize as needed

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A positive, passionate, sensitive and inclusive attitude towards working with children
- _Experience in a child-oriented programs is a must, experience in a licensed child care setting is an asset_

  • Postsecondary education (or currently enrolled in) Education, Child and Youth Studies, Recreation or related program preferred
  • A valid Standard First Aid Certificate, with level C CPR
  • Holds a valid Criminal Reference Check within the last 6 months
  • All health requirements to be met in accordance with the Child Care Early Years Act and company Policies
  • Great verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate effectively with children, parents, school staff and coworkers
  • Physically able to assist children and able to set up, move and carry program equipment
  • Able to work late nights and weekend when its needed
  • A valid driver's license and has daily access to a vehicle
