We are seeking a Community Support Worker who shares our passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others

Hours:
Monday to Friday, 3:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct support to Individuals in the residential and community settings
  • Assisting in completion of personal care and hygiene routines as necessary
  • Facilitating community access, participation and inclusion for individuals
  • Providing comprehensive behavioural support
  • Administering medication
  • Completing household duties (_laundry, cleaning, cooking, etc._)
  • Completing documentation and reports in a timely manner
  • Completing all mandatory trainings (_Abuse Prevention & Response, Best Practices, FOIP, Medication Assistance, Mandt, Universal Precautions, Food Safety, WHMIS, Fire Extinguisher, Diabetes Training_)

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A high school diploma
  • Post-Secondary certificate, diploma or degree in a related field
  • 6 months+ related experience is an asset
  • Police Information Check & Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 6 months
  • Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C
  • Minimum 1 year with a Class 5 Canadian Driver's License
  • Access to a reliable vehicle
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Salary:
From $19.18 per hour
