Job Duties

  • Maintain and support existing customer base
  • Prospecting by identifying new accounts, building relationships and increasing customer base.
  • Meeting with existing and potential clients and identifying their needs, goals and constraints.
  • Having a solid technical and product knowledge to assist customers in achieving their goals.
  • Maintain and update CRM system with relevant information on customer's laboratory practices and market intelligence.
  • Administrative tasks related to assisting customers, including quote generation and order processing.
  • Technical support for Norgen customers
  • Submit all required reports on a timely basis
  • Other duties which may be assigned by management.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or equivalent. Master degree in molecular biology or a related field highly desirable.
years of sales experience in the Life Science Market

  • Extensive practical/lab experience is highly desirable.
  • Deep knowledge of wet lab molecular biology and genomics workflows is highly required.
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge and understanding of molecular biology, including DNA/RNA purification, PCR, cloning, and sequencing.
  • Technical training experience highly desirable.
  • Experience with CRM, lead generation and tracking software is highly desirable.

  • Customerfacing skills, including the ability to build positive relationships and engage in scientific discussions with customers.
  • Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills and
  • Customer-Centric: Commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent people skills: motivated and enthusiastic
  • A strong desire to work with customers to understand their experimental needs and recommend Norgen's products that achieve their scientific goals.
  • Organized and able to work independently as well as on a team.
  • Ability to integrate both internal and fieldbased resources to find creative solutions to customer requests.
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting customer requests based on urgency and business value.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written. Additional language skills are welcome.
  • Ability to travel throughout North America and internationally as required.
  • Focused, sense of urgency, selfmotivated, respectful, passionate, flexible and patient.
