Role Responsibilities

Budgets, Forecasting and Modelling:

  • Assist in developing the annual consolidated budget, financial forecasting, operating plans and modelling processes.
  • Support the development of financial models and special budget reports for the company's senior leadership team.
  • Support the simplification and automation of the company's financial planning process.
  • Work with the Operations team to provide realtime forecasting updates.

Reporting Analytics:

  • Develop capital budgeting templates and review opportunities; Calculate EBITDA, NPV, IRR payback and other key metrics.
  • Assist with the preparation of business cases and provide recommendations.
  • Analyze company financials and prepare key conclusions to be communicated to parent company.
  • Conduct variance analysis and identify key drivers of financial performance.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather and analyze financial data.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process efficiency improvements; continuously standardize and improve the budgeting and forecasting processes.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or a similar advanced degree is preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years' experience in strategic, business, accounting or financial planning and analysis roles.
  • Manufacturing industry background preferred.
  • Experience working for a Public company is considered an asset.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with a demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Selfmotivated with the ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities and perform job responsibilities accurately.
  • Excellent computer skills required, including a high degree of demonstrated Excel expertise (i.e. vlookup, Pivot Tables, and IF statements), as well as experience with SAP.
  • Experience with financial analysis, financial modelling and/or business valuation.
  • Extensive experience with forecasting and budgeting.
  • Experience quantifying and reporting business performance.
