As a Back-End Developer, you'll be involved in constructing new back-end services, adding features, improving existing products, conducting code reviews, and testing enterprise-level REST API applications with a medium-sized team. You will also be responsible for creating and updating technical documentation. Your role will include analysis, implementation, performance testing, tuning, maintenance, and support. Additionally, you are expected to collaborate with various SDLC methodologies and an Agile software development environment.
You'll have the following responsibilities:
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Building and maintaining resilient microservices applications.
- Proficiency in API & Microservices technologies and containers like Springboot, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Utilizing development tools, frameworks & technologies such as Java, Springboot, JPA/Hibernate, RESTful APIs, JSON, JWT, etc.
- Knowledge of cloud-native design principles and best practices.
- Writing unit tests for web applications and API services.
- Identifying application weaknesses and suggesting solutions, performing code reviews, and understanding business requirements for application design.
- Collaborating with peer developers, QA, BA teams.
- Assisting the operations group in analyzing and resolving application issues.
You should possess:
- University Degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent.
- Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada on a Full-Time basis.
- More than 5 years of software development experience in Java.
- Experience in developing API services using Java Springboot, JPA/Hibernate, REST, JSON, OAuth2, JWT, etc.
- Familiarity with relational databases like Oracle, MS SQL, and advantage if experienced in No-SQL DBs.
- Background as a full stack developer is beneficial.
- DevOps experience in open-source tools (JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, etc.) required.
- Experience with microservices, containerized applications, Docker/Kubernetes, cloud technologies.
- Self-motivation, quick learner, excellent problem-solving skills, ability to adapt to new technologies effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, particularly in technical documentation.
- Participation in the software components delivery within an agile development process.
