SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:
Looking for a dedicated nurse to work at an outpost or dispensary in a region with regional disparities. Apart from regular nursing duties, this role involves conducting patient assessments to assist remote diagnosis by a doctor and implementing interventions typically performed by doctors in other settings.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
The Chishaayiyuu Life cycle service focuses on providing health and social services for adults over 30 and individuals of all ages with chronic illnesses, such as diabetes, hypertension, and renal disease. Services are tailored to meet clients' needs, and the Chishaayiyuu nurse collaborates in a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements:
- Must be a member in good standing of the O.I.I.Q;
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience or one (1) year in an emergency room setting.
Language Skills:
- Proficient in English;
- Knowledge of Cree or French is beneficial.
Additional Details:
- Availability for on-call duties;
- Opportunity for expanded responsibilities;
- Potential interview involving clinical scenarios.
NOTES: Nurses with incomplete extended role training are ineligible for this position. However, those with at least one year of recent acute care experience post-training may request a review of this exclusion.
