This role is responsible for bookkeeping and invoicing duties related to Accounts Receivable and Payable to ensure the efficiency and productivity of the company.


Major Areas of Responsibility:

Bookkeeping

  • Responsible for Accounts Payable tracking/processing/reconciliation activities in QuickBooks
  • Responsible for Accounts Receivable reports/collections/follow up on discrepancies
  • Prepares bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
  • Prepares and maintains accounting documents and records
  • Reconciles employee expenses
  • Responsible for credit card reconciliation
  • Submits quarterly WCB payments and monthly GST and corporate tax installments
  • Reconcile multicompany bank accounts

  • Creates invoices using QuickBooks software

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High school graduation and general courses or training in word processing, database, and spreadsheets.
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience in bookkeeping and/or basic accounting role
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with QuickBooks
  • Self motivated
  • Strong team player
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
  • Strong problemsolving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
  • Ability to handle confidential material with discretion

Physical Demands:

  • The AP/AR is required to sit/view the computer monitor for prolonged periods of time.

Reporting Structure:

  • The AP/AR reports directly to President of the company. The Office AP/AR has no direct reports.
