About the role

  • Collaborates with Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain Management, Production, and Supplier Quality Management organizations to ensure that a quality management system is in place and adhered to.
  • Interacts with Program Management and Subcontractor Management organizations for related QA activities.
  • Designs and analyzes inspection and surveillance processes to conduct Quality Assurance oversight of the production environment and material management activities.
  • Audits LM and subcontractor's Quality Management System for workmanship, deficiencies, effective corrective actions, and validation of compliance to company's management system and compliance to ISO 900
  • Generates and reviews audit reports for completeness and conformity to quality management system requirements.
  • Ensures that corrective action measures are effective and meet acceptable reliability standards.
  • Ensures that program documentation and records are compliant with contractual requirements.

What you bring to the role

  • Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10+ years of professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
  • Strong QA background; skilled in ISO 9001 or AS9100.
  • Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office suite: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access
  • Experience in development and implementation of Quality Assurance initiatives to achieve program and/or company objectives.
  • Experience with Software Quality Assurance with working knowledge of ISO/IEC/IEEE 90003, ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, and/or ISO/IEC 9126 (now ISO is an asset.
  • Experience with Agile Software Development practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with excellent teaming skills.
  • Six Sigma/Lean Training an asset
  • Program and Risk Management familiarity an asset
  • Ability to delegate and manage priorities.
  • Strong problem identification and resolution of nonconformances.
  • Manufacturing / Production experience with Canadian military product, systems, specifications, and critical inspection processes.
  • Good communicator with excellent writing and computer skills; must be effective within all organizational levels, both internally and externally.
  • Eligibility for NATO Secret Clearance
