Community Engagement Supervisor

The Community Engagement Supervisor is responsible for developing the Trinity Village communication strategy and contributing to the organizational strategic planning process.

The role collaborates with senior leadership to develop a communications plan for Trinity Village, directly managing communications activities that promote, enhance, and protect the organization's brand reputation.

The Community Engagement Supervisor is responsible for developing, integrating, and implementing a broad range of public relations activities relative to the strategic direction and positioning of the organization, its leadership, and fundraising goals.

This is a permanent full-time (75 hours biweekly) non-union position.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Stay current on industry trends, analyze data, and make recommendations for adjustments to communication strategies and practices.
  • Responsible for Trinity Village's communications products and services, including print publications; website, social media, enews, and other online communications; media and public relations; fundraising, events, and marketing.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, organizational objectives, business plans, strategic planning, special events, and committees, as required.
  • Caretaker of the Trinity Village Brand, the most important asset, our identity, to market and advertise, promoting Trinity Village as equally a good place to live, visit, and work.
  • Responsible for building relationships with the media in relevant constituents.
  • Maintain and expand community engagement relationships increase awareness.
  • Coordinates two Annual Community Events (a Golf Tournament and a Grand Parade), engaging our network of suppliers, care partners, residents, staff, and the community.
  • Remain compliant with all legislative bodies as required by Trinity Village/LHKW for the role of Community Engagement Supervisor and report as required.
  • Trinity Village Special Projects and Events Committee Lead.

DUTIES AND TASKS:

  • Increase Community Engagement through strong Brand and Marketing
  • Adhere to Trinity Village/LHKW's Mission, Values, and Vision and follow all organizational policies and procedures, leading by example.
  • Support The Eden Alternative Philosophy of Care
  • Be familiar with the senior's continuum of care setting operations
  • Demonstrate attitudes and behaviours that align with the Code of Conduct and Ethics and ensure the health and safety of yourself and others at all times.


Lead
  • Website Administrator, Social Media, Promotional Materials, Mobile Sign, Golf Tournament, Grand Parade and the Special Events Committee
  • Takes photos and videos to produce relevant promotional material, ensuring proper privacy and consent canned photos are not to be used without permission.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Postsecondary education in marketing, business, communications, graphic design, or public relations
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in marketing, graphic design, communications, or public relations
  • Experience in a healthcare or notforprofit environment preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in storytelling and content creation.
