Business Analytics Specialist | GB Business Analytics & Advice -Advisor
Key Accountabilities
- Develop Power BI solutions (simple to complex) to designed specifications for existing Power BI reports
- Design, build, deploy and maintain Power BI solutions
- Engage in infrastructure/analytics development cycle from a data testing perspective
- Investigate/explore/understand new data sources, developing prototypes for operationalizing in Power BI/SQL
- Collaborate with the squad on data solutions
- Providing data analysis & performing data investigations for our business partners
- Providing direction to selfservice Power BI reports and responding to adhoc data requests
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer; 3+ years of innovative Power BI report development
- Advanced proficiency in SQL
- University/College in computer science, information technology, math or a related field
- Experience using Business Analytics solutions to streamline legacy reporting processes
- Experience with data visualization, storytelling, data modeling & UX best practices
- Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative
- Analytical mind with a problemsolving aptitude
- Ability to explain technical concepts to the business and management. Demonstrated ability to work with both technical and nontechnical resources
- Experience in Python, SSIS and Microsoft Visual Studio is an asset
- Experience and business knowledge in Financial Services and/or Group Benefits is an asset
- Knowledge of data visualization, data modeling & UX best practices are an asset
