The Human Resources Generalist will service designated client groups and provide expertise and oversight relating to HRIS administration, talent acquisition, training and development, employee relations etc.

This is a hands-on role with full spectrum generalist responsibilities.

What you are expected:

  • Under the oversight of the Human Resources Business Partner, function as the first point of contact for multiple locations on HR matters; manage and provide services in Employee Relations, Staffing and Recruiting, Performance Management, Employee Orientation, Talent Management and Training and Development
  • Promote and coach managers and employees on HR programs, policies and processes
  • With strong understanding and experience of Canadian employment legislation, lead the prompt resolution of employee relations issues and initiate proactive measures to minimize related matters
  • Participate as a member of the larger HR team in pursuing assigned accountabilities and team projects, always being mindful of corporate as well as client group goals, and the overall goals of the HR team must be met
  • Maintain reporting tools and techniques to capture and distribute meaningful data and metrics related to HR areas

Education and Experience:

  • Recent University graduate with a minimum of 12 years of experience in HR admin or coordinator position. Experience with full cycle recruiting hourly and salaried employees
  • Degree/Diploma in Human Resources, Business, or Related Discipline
  • CHRL designation, preferred but not required
  • Expertise in HR legislation with extensive experience in Employee Relations
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, consulting and relationship building skills
