Job Summary

  • Responsible for maintaining tooling, performing PMs and assisting in any tool break down as well as other related duties to plastic injection Mold tools in a production environment.
Main Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

  • Complete daily preventative maintenance sheets as required.
  • Maintain Mould carrier assembly.
  • Modify molds based on Engineering Change Notices.
  • Perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance.
  • Repair Moulds in shop and inline as required.
  • Work with tool room equipment, saws, lathes, mills, surface grinders, drill presses and hand tools.
  • Inspection of lifting devices prior to use.
  • Perform tool readiness inspections for trials on new moulds.
  • Performs other duties deemed necessary by the Process Engineer/Technical Manager.

Specific Requirements:

  • EHS: Follow all defined and communicated Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.
  • BOS: Learn and execute function-related BOS requirements.

Information Security:
Follow defined requirements for information security and confidentiality of YFAI information.

  • Certification in TIG welding or proficiency in micro welding would be an asset.
  • Experience with grained tool surfaces would be an asset.
  • Experience with electrical wiring as it relates to mould heating equipment.
  • Experience with hydraulic cylinder and hydraulic hose repairs.
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Capable to lift 50lbs

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent

Salary:
$15.50-$38.57 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay

  • Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
