Remedy's Rx is Community Pharmacy located in Byron.

We are co-located in doctor clinics and deliver medication assessments, patient education, medication, condition and device training, MedsCheck services as well as dispensing services.

This position provides a great deal of interaction with patients and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team including doctor clinic.

FUNCTION:


Currently, our growing team is looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to join us on a full time basis at our Remedy's Rx Pharmacy - Byron.

Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacy Assistant will support the pharmacy by entering, filling, and preparing medications, both OTC and prescription, as well as participate in the day-to-day workflow management of patients and pharmacy tasks.

The role provides a unique opportunity to practice in a clinical environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Entering and managing patient pharmacy profiles
  • Entering, filling and preparing medications, both OTC and prescription
  • Managing refill calls, patient reminder calls and other patient communications
  • Ordering and managing inventory, both supplies and medications
  • Working with the Pharmacists and the doctor clinic team to assist patients
  • Supporting all responsibilities related to pharmacy operations as well as medication and supplies dispensing and shipment
  • Registering covid /flu vaccine into portal and Billing
  • Helping pharmacist to do PCR test/ getting ready PCR test documentation if required
  • Maintaining cleanliness of pharmacy and OTC display

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma
  • 12 years of Pharmacy experience
  • Proficiency in Kroll, including MedsCheck billing, administration and recordkeeping
  • Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
  • Able to keep up with a fastpaced environment and successfully multitask
  • Able to work efficiently both independently and within a team
  • Adaptable and able to prioritize tasks
  • Salary based on work experience
  • Experience of Blister packaging
  • Experience working with covid vaccine registration and billing an asset
  • Experience working with PCR test an asset
