We are seeking an energetic person for the role of
Laborer to be based at our
Mississauga, ON
***office.
Responsibilities:
- Must have or obtain all required safety certifications, responsible for arranging and completing retraining before certifications expire
- Attend sitespecific safety orientation prior to commencing work, safely engage in all onsite activities, follow all job site safety procedures and report violations immediately
- Always correctly use approved sitespecific personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Clearly understand project specific safety requirements and expectations, if unclear must ask for additional information
- Clearly understand projectspecific hazardous activities and associated risks, if unclear must ask for additional information
- Read, understand and observe all requirements of applicable Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
- Review and follow all applicable Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- Exercise due care in handling of equipment and promptly report any defects or malfunction
- Must work cooperatively with field employees as a productive member of the team
- Assist skilled tradespeople (typically welders) and perform a wide range of tasks at construction sites
- Loading, unloading, identifying and distributing materials and equipment
Qualifications:
- 25 years' experience in a similar role
- OSSA Confined Space Entry is an asset
- CSTS or PST is an asset
- Standard First Aid course is an asset
- H2S Alive is an asset
