In this position, we are seeking a dynamic individual to join our innovative HR team.

In this role, you will support the Senior HR Generalist and HR Manager by assisting with the recruitment process, administrative functions, employee relations and employee communications for ALS Human Resources in Eastern Canada.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Responsible for fullcycle recruitment including:
  • Adhering to the policies, procedures, and standards relating to recruitment ensuring consistency within ALS;
  • Updating interview guides for positions, keeping in mind skills, competencies, and ALS culture;
  • Screening resumes, conducting telephone prescreening, and assisting with final selection;
  • Coordinating interviews with hiring managers;
  • Preparing job postings for job boards and internal websites;
  • Assisting to promote career opportunities at ALS through job fairs, partnerships, schools, communities, and resource groups;
  • Tracking and collecting completed paperwork from new hires;
  • Responding to and completing requests for information from outside sources (including reference checks, personnel file requests, wage information, etc.);
  • Maintaining and updating all employee files;
  • Assisting to ensure that all HR forms, policies and manuals are up to date and current;
  • Coordinating and checking French language translation of human resources documentation;
  • Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures;
  • May assist with other HR projects or duties as assigned;
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong bilingual communication skills, both written and verbal in French and English;
  • Familiarity with provincial Employment standards and regulations;
  • Strong customer service focus, interpersonal and organizational abilities;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality;
  • Demonstrated judgment, creativity, integrity, and ability to problemsolve;
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio;
  • Ability to effectively handle escalations and timecritical issues.
Required Qualifications

  • Highschool Diploma and a minimum of two years of postsecondary education or an equivalent combination of experience and education;
  • A minimum of two years of administration and client service experience.
  • Fully bilingual
Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit at a desk and do general office work, which includes periodic sedentary responsibilities;
  • Ability to use and view a computer screen for up to 8 hours per day;
