DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKERS - SUMMER FLOATERS


We are looking for disability support workers to assist with temporary shift coverage
June 2023 until September 3, 2023(start and end dates can be discussed at interview).

Additional pick up hours are available as required, and could include days, evenings, weekends and overnight shifts.

We are a community minded organization focused on increasing the quality of life for children and adults with developmental disabilities through individual choice, dignity and rights.


The Position:

Our employees assist individuals to live as independently as possible within their home and in the community.

You may be required to assist with; personal hygiene care, preparing meals, administering medications, performing lifts and/or transfers, and following behavior support programs.

Duties will also include writing brief reports, household chores, providing companionship.

Hours of work:

3on 2off, 2on 3off, 2on 2off rotation (3-11pm)

Location:
A variety of group homes within the Red Deer area as assigned

Hourly wage:
$ $18.30

The Requirements:

  • Completion of Grade 12 or General Equivalency Diploma
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a related field of Human Service
  • Acceptable Police Information Check & Child Intervention Check
  • Class 5 driver's license and own vehicle (with valid insurance & registration)
  • Acceptable Driver's Abstract
  • Experience with Indigenous culture would be an asset
