JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties:

  • Develops and implements marketing plans and strategies for new and existing products by:
analyzing and assessing market and product data, energy management strategy, brand
messaging, risks, costs and other product related factors; determining product objectives, targets
and strategies; presenting and recommending product plans; developing product budgets and
performance monitoring for approved product development plans and initiatives; participating and
monitoring the launch success for new/revised products and programs; discussing and modifying
strategies and tactics with reporting manager, product delivery and other Conservation & Energy
Management (C&EM) staff as appropriate.

  • Meets with C&EM delivery and product/program implementation staff to discuss and ensure the
targets, objectives and expectations of new or revised product are known and understood;
conducts product evaluations and studies; determines program evaluation, data capture,
download, reporting and related requirements; intervenes as required for assigned products to
ensure targets and objectives are achieved.

  • Participates in the development and implementation of events and campaigns to promote new/
revised products; determines event objectives, targets, strategies, budgets and targets;
participates and ensures events achieve planned objectives; reviews and recommends for
approval related invoices.

  • Analyzes revenues, expenses, sales activity, brand awareness, messages and other measures
for assigned products and implementation performance; discusses and adjusts product marketing
strategies with product delivery staff; prepares reports and recommendations to C&EM staff
regarding product sales and promotion performance and/or weaknesses; participates in product
delivery changes.

  • Conducts market research and pilots related to the development or study of new/revised
products; provides direction to research consultants and others.

  • Maintains currency with new and emerging product and process technologies, customer
segments, trade ally markets etc; attends conferences, trade shows and maintains contacts with
- commercial, trade and industrial representatives.
  • Provides technical direction and guidance to other workers participating on assigned product
development and implementation projects; prepares and presents product implementation
- sessions.
  • Performs minor duties related to the above duties that do not affect the rating of the job.

Qualifications:

***- Product planning and implementation, marketing, market research, promotional strategy

development and implementation, statistics, measurement and monitoring techniques and
- methods, project management, marketing and sales techniques, analytical methods, budgeting,- and modelling software, report writing knowledge is typically acquired through completion of a
- university degree in Business Administration or Commerce with a marketing major or equivalent- management, control systems, policies, procedures and practices.
  • A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in a marketing related position in a large
organization involving product development and management, market research, analysis and
- complex market dynamics. Well developed oral, written, presentation and interpersonal
- communications and analytical skills.

  • This is a FTT (Full time Temporary) Group 9 MoveUp opportunity for approximately 12 months.
  • Typically works in an office environment with occasional overnight trips to attend meetings,
seminars and conferences.
