Job Summary:

As part of the Zebra Enterprise Visibility and Mobility (EVM) Regulatory department, this role is to provide Regulatory support for new product development as well as continued compliance for existing products in the Enterprise portfolio.

As a Regulatory Specialist II, the role will involve working closely with our Engineering teams, ODM partners and Test Laboratories globally to support Regulatory Certifications across our Data Capture Solutions and Enterprise Mobile Computing business units.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Gains exposure to Managing projects of moderate scope associated with global regulatory requirements through cross functional teams and resources.

Assesses business implications for each stage of project.

Under general instruction from more senior staff, works to develop clear project scope statements, plans, resource requirements, schedules and budgets along with senior Regulatory personnel.

May be assigned multiple projects simultaneously. Monitors and documents project progress, budget and deliverables. Formulates status reports and presents to the team and immediate manager. Acts independently to address minor issues and risks, and works these until resolved. On major issues/risks with resources and/or budget implications, provides recommendations for mitigation plan for review by management. Adjusts the plan per management guidelines as delays or obstacles are experienced. Utilizes trained skills to develop into Subject Matter Expert (SME) in targeted regulatory discipline. Maintains current knowledge of relevant product regulations and standards, including proposed and published rules.

Assesses Regulatory processes, conducts data collection and analysis to support process improvement to reduce cost and complexity across the business.

Gains exposure to Identifying and developing action plans with a focus on innovation and automation to implement efficiency, quality and/or cost improvements on existing Regulatory processes.


Job Requirements Preferred Education:
Bachelors degree in engineering or related technical performance experience.

Preferred Work Experience (years): 2-5 years relevant experience.

Key Skills and Competencies:
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Intermediate presentation skills to cross functional audience.
Ability to work effectively in a small team of engineers, technicians and designers.
Ability to react quickly and adapt to changes in priorities, circumstances, and direction. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and customers. listening skills.
Ability to exercise judgment, perform assigned tasks, and meet schedules with mínimal supervision.
Strong skills in PC based documentation tools including MS Office and MS Project with Project Management skills.

Job Type:
Fixed term contract

Contract length: 10 months

Salary:
$30.00-$45.00 per hour
