EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree

LOCATION:

WORK EXPERIENCE:

FIELD OF STUDY:
Engineering, Geology, Agrology, Biology or Environmental Sciences

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A general understanding of groundwater monitoring and sampling techniques, soil descriptions and terminology, and quality assurance / quality control is considered an asset.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Selfmotivated, high energy, strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Willing to undertake field work yearround and travel throughout Western Canada, at times for extended periods (weeks).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in the English language.

JOB DUTIES:

Assistance with/completion of:

  • Historical data review and subsequent site inspections.
  • Groundwater monitoring and sampling.
  • Surface water, soil, and soil vapour sampling.
  • Environmental drilling activities.
  • Remedial excavations.
  • Photographic and written documentation of site activities.
  • Communication with onsite personnel and Project Manager.
