Kamloops Paint & Window Coverings is Kamloops' Benjamin Moore paint dealer. We sell paints, wood stains, supplies, and window coverings to a wide variety of customers.

We have been voted 'Kamloops Best Paint Store' 5 consecutive years in recent local customer polls. We strive to offer the best products and customer service to Kamloops and surrounding areas.

The position involves:

  • Assisting customers with product selection and in choosing their colours
  • Tinting and preparing their orders in a timely fashion
  • Matching colours
  • Receiving inventory and stocking shelves
  • Cleaning and store upkeep
  • Lifting and moving products some of which are heavy, using the equipment available to assist with this

Qualifications

  • Previous paint store or related experience with painting is an asset
  • Ability to work when required including weekends and holidays. We currently are not open evenings
  • Detail oriented
  • Proficiency with computers and typing
  • Proficiency with basic math and spelling
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, including taking orders by phone
  • Decision making ability and problem solving skills
  • A desire to continually learn and maintain excellent product knowledge
  • The ability to work positively in a team environment
  • Cooperative personality, good listening skills, make sure the customer's needs are met
