JOB SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide full cycle, high volume recruitment
  • Creating and promoting job advertisements
  • Managing the AFD's Website, Career's page including Job postings
  • Manage social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) for the purposes of recruiting
  • Coordinating new hires for Onboarding
  • Scheduling Pre employment Fitness testing, Drug & Alcohol Testing, and background check
  • Ensure mandatory training and continuing education is complete, documented, including HR & Safety training.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, changes to regulations, new technology breakthroughs in HR, talent
  • Follow and implement all HR policy & procedures and companywide initiatives
  • Maintaining excel and reporting
  • Support in developing & creating training programs, procedures, documents, and power points
  • Responsible for accuracy and maintenance of HR filing system both electronic and paper
  • Work on HR projects as specified
  • Create and generate regular and adhoc reporting analytics when required
  • Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, and employee benefits.
  • Enhance culture through employee interactions.

OTHER KEY SKILLS (or product knowledge)

  • Data analysis skills required
  • Basic research skills required
  • Presentation skills required.
  • HRIS (experience with ADP an asset)

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 35 years of work experience in HR
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with multiple business leaders, and influence decisions related to recruitment and hiring practices
  • Ability to manage time and deliver results for multiple business units with competing priorities
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written along with experience communicating effectively to a diverse internal customer group is essential.

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma, GED or other equivalent
  • Postsecondary education in Human Resources Management an asset
