Summary/Objective:A replacement Delivery Driver distributes company products to our customers, on time and in the proper condition. You will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase our profitability and customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions:
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures during replacements of other drivers.
  • Maintains a safety awareness of potential hazards when driving and while delivering items to a customer or service center
  • Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
  • Adhere exactly to routes and time schedule
  • Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle
  • Lifting, carrying, and walking with a variety of items within a customer's location
  • Operator with a high level of professionalism
  • Complete service work orders
  • Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients' complaints
  • Collect payments
  • Inform customers about new products and services
  • Complete daily driver logs, update driver apps, and generate performance reports
  • Follow all DOT regulations and safety standards
  • Participate in continuous improvement programs, route optimization initiatives, and process efficiency and safety evaluations

Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to bend, lift up to 70 lbs. regularly, and sit for extended periods of time.

Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkSome flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the "core" work hours of 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

TravelTravel is 100% primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Valid professional driver's license
  • Good driving record with no traffic violations
  • High school degree
  • Possess a positive and professional attitude
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver
  • Ability to operate forklifts and tractors in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Additional Requirements:
  • 1 week in June
  • 1 week in July
  • 3 weeks in August
  • 5 weeks in winter
