The Program Advisor manages and administers a portfolio of programs including: program and contract management, managing details surrounding associated budgets and reporting, building and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships, identification of program and contract deliverables, program evaluation and performance measurement, procurement, consultation and research leading to continuous program improvements, and other associated program management activities to ensure achievement of program objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in business administration, public administration, social sciences, humanities or equivalent.
  • Experience conducting longterm planning.
  • Knowledge of the ministry mandate, programs and services.
  • Knowledge of the annual performance management planning cycle.
At least one year of related work experience in each of the following within the last 8 years:

  • Experience in stakeholder relations, including working collaboratively in partnership arrangements
  • Experience leading and managing contractrelated activities for programs and achieving objectives and
  • Experience in procurement, contract negotiation, contract and financial management
Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

  • Experience related to settlement and integration of newcomers
  • Experience in equity, diversity and inclusion and/or reconciliation
