You encompass Oak Valley Health's core values and live the words of respect, trust, commitment, compassion and courageAs a registered nurse you will become an integral member of the interprofessional team responsible for the comprehensive care of medical patients.
The successful candidate will need to be available to work 12 hour shifts, days, nights, weekday, weekends and statutory holidays.
Using your clinical expertise, in collaboration with the interprofessional team, you will be responsible for comprehensive assessment, care planning, patient education and discharge planning to support the continuity of care throughout the patient's stay on AAU, an acute inpatient medical department .
You will play a critical role in the coordination and development of interprofessional plans of care, which reflect patient needs.
In addition, you will utilize your demonstrated clinical leadership skills, well developed analytical, problem solving, delegation and interpersonal skills to assist you in the provision of quality patient care.
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in acute medicineCoronary Care 1 experience preferred
Certificate in oncology and/or gerontology would be an asset
Proficient computer skills
Demonstrated commitment to a patient/family centred care environment
Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards
by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required
