The People & Equity Team are hiring a
Manager, DEIR. This role will focus Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Reconciliation across Vancity to further our DEIR goals and Strategy.


This competitively rewarded role will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office.

Periodically, in-person events or activities will be required of you.

A typical day would involve:

  • Manage and support DEIR programs and team (Reconciliation Employee Experience program, Workplace Inclusion Program and Accessibility and Inclusion programs) and initiatives to further our DEIR goals and strategy.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to support Vancity in the implementation of DEIR strategies, goals, and recommendations.
  • Provide thought leadership and coaching on DEIR with internal partners, leaders, and external partners to support and continuously improve Vancity's strategy and strengthen relationships to the communities we serve.
  • Inform and cocreate opportunities (training, learning circles etc.) to provide capacity building for Vancity leaders and staff to further awareness and understanding on antiracism, Reconciliation, Inclusion, accessibility, and antioppression frameworks to activate allyship.
  • Consult and inform Vancity to build understanding, awareness, and capability to govern antiracist organizations.

You have:

  • 7 to 10+ years in DEIR or related field.
  • Deep knowledge in diversity, equity, inclusion and Reconciliation, DEIR, oppression, systemic change that centers historically excluded identities, working with historically excluded identities in Canada, implementing inclusion and equity policies, programs and processes, and commitment to antioppression in a complex setting.
  • Influencing organizational leadership, project management, strategic thinking, corporate written and oral communication.
  • Effective written and oral communication, planning, analysis, synthesis of complex information, interdisciplinary approach, development of metrics/KPIs/KRIs share knowledge effectively with external and internal impacted parties.

**Salary Range: $91,000.00 to $136,400.00
