Position:
Carpenter, Site Supervisor

Location:
Ottawa, Ontario

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your expertise in carpentry to complete a variety of tasks including framing, installation, finishing, and repair work on both commercial and residential projects
  • Work independently and effectively manage and supervise onsite activities
  • Interpret and analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of carpentry tasks
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members to meet project deadlines and specifications
  • Oversee and mentor junior carpenters and laborers as needed
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations
  • Collaborate with clients to address their specific carpentry requirements and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Assist in the procurement of materials and equipment needed for each project

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field
  • Interact with clients, project managers, and team members in a highly professional and polite manner
  • Proven track record of working independently and supervising onsite activities
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver highquality work
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members, subcontractors, and clients
  • Physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of the job
  • Commitment to safety and strong adherence to safety regulations and protocols
