Responsibilities:
The Pharmacy Manager's role involves overseeing the pharmacy's management while upholding a high level of professionalism by ensuring consistent and comprehensive patient care. Responsibilities include supervising and guiding staff, and being accountable for the pharmacy's financial and operational success.
- Ability to lead, coach, and motivate staff
- Possess entrepreneurial skills with a passion for business development
- Oversee day-to-day pharmacy operations, ensuring adequate support for staff pharmacists in their patient care roles
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, policies, and accreditation standards
- Continuously update professional knowledge to stay abreast of the latest developments in the pharmacy sector
- Conduct regular team meetings to introduce and implement new or existing policies and procedures
- Perform performance evaluations for staff
- Responsible for the training and onboarding of new employees
- Collaborate effectively with the front store team to identify patient care opportunities
- Explore innovative ways to enhance operational processes
- Manage financial statements and achieve specified targets
Qualifications and Skills:
- Licensed and in good standing with Alberta College of Pharmacy and Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals
- Preferably a minimum of 1 year's experience as a Pharmacy Manager
- Must be licensed to Administer Medications by Injection
- Excellent customer service and professionalism
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated and capable of independent work
- Ability to thrive in a team environment
