Our client, a leading value-added custom packaging solutions provider, is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist to join their team immediately on a permanent full-time basis.

You will be joining a growing team of professionals who have over 40 years of experience embracing and helping the team improve technical and operational systems to increase safety, quality, service, productivity, and overall business profitability.

Reporting to the CI Manager, this position will be working out of their facilities in Brampton.

current manufacturing processes, technical systems, materials, equipment, and work methods to identify and define improvement opportunities with emphasis on process repeatability, waste reduction, and cost improvement.

improvement opportunities in a data driven and systematic manner, and effectively define and communicate the scope, implementation plan, success criteria, and control / training plan.

facilitate, and execute continuous improvement projects in collaboration with cross-functional teams (e.g. Operations, Quality, Technical teams).
monitor, and trend performance using metrics and key performance indicators.

support in resolving product non-conformances and customer complaints through root cause analysis and implementation of corrective & preventative actions.

in a manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals, odours, noise, and machines, which requires appropriate PPE.
required occasionally – may involve overnight travel.
with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. MS Project and MS Access are considered a plus.
to read engineering drawings generated in AutoCAD / Solidworks.
