Position Overview:


Working independently with some guidance from the Kamloops Manager, supervises and directs employees engaged in warehouse and delivery operations at the Kamloops facility.

This position includes activities such as deliveries for the direct store deliveries operation, BCLDB and Inter Okanagan Tractor Service.

Responsibilities have considerable impact on the efficient and effective utilization of resources of his/her own and other areas, and may influence the Organization's long-term reputation and overall standing in the industry.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Daily routing and load management of DSD deliveries and BCLDB Deliveries
  • Support to Linehaul
  • Manpower planning and scheduling
  • Equipment and building maintenance
  • Ensure compliance to policies, practices and procedures
  • Ensure loading and unloading activity in the Warehouse is executed to plan
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Some Post-Secondary courses plus 2 to 3 years related experience: specialist certificate/diploma

Required skills, Knowledge and Competencies:

  • Forklift Certification
  • Strong organizational skills, good eye for detail Excellent computer skills such as Excel and Word
  • Verbal and written communication skills are essential to ensure clarity when issuing instruction to drivers

Other:

  • Commitment to customer service, requiring to deal with issues immediately
  • Ability to work in a deadline oriented, fast paced environment
  • Positive attitude and even temperament
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
