As the Multi-Store Events & Education Lead, you are a culinary enthusiast dedicated to immersing guests in the essence of Eataly through engaging events and educational initiatives. Reporting directly to the Events & Education Manager, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating Events & Education activities across various Eataly locations within the Greater Toronto Area.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee a variety of events – from inception to conclusion, encompassing setup, teardown, and coordination of visual materials – such as culinary workshops, wine tastings, collaborative events with brands, and other engaging activations
- Contribute to the coordination of large-scale store events
- Support the Events & Education Manager in executing on-site activities, tastings, and events with external vendors
- Assist colleagues in conducting classes and events, providing setup and teardown assistance as necessary
- Facilitate seamless communication between customers, chefs, beverage managers, and other relevant departments, including product procurement
- Compose and supervise class descriptions; develop online class registration platforms
- Promote accountability within departments and foster interdepartmental cooperation in event planning
- Coordinate the delivery of products for virtual events
- Undertake any other duties as needed or assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of a Bachelor's Degree
- 1-2 years of prior experience in restaurant operations, marketing, or event coordination
- Demonstrated proficiency in organizational skills, project management, and time management
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in a professional capacity
- Advanced familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
- Knowledge of platforms like Eventbrite is advantageous
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Availability for onsite work with a flexible schedule, comprising evenings, weekends, and holidays
- SmartServe Certification is mandatory
- Capability to lift items weighing up to 20 pounds
