Are you passionate about pursuing justice with integrity? The Bronx District Attorney is on a mission to provide fairness to defendants and victims in the community. We are currently seeking skilled trial attorneys to join our Homicide Bureau.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Prosecute homicides from investigation through trial
  • Serve rotations of 24-hour on-call duty
  • Respond to crime scenes
  • Conduct interviews with witnesses and defendants
  • Draft search warrants and orders
  • Present cases to the grand jury
  • Establish relationships with witnesses and families
  • Handle a high-volume caseload efficiently
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor degree required
  • Minimum of 7 years of criminal trial experience
  • Minimum of 5 felony jury trials
  • U.S. citizenship and New York State residency required
  • Member in good standing of the NY State Bar
  • Excellent judgment and ethics
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends
Residency Requirement:

New York State Residency is REQUIRED on the first day of employment.
