Are you ready to take on the role of Estimating Student at our Kelowna Office in the BC Region? This is a unique chance to work with our Canadian Buildings Division for a 4-12 month term starting in September 2024, under the guidance of the Chief Estimator.

Here are the key ways in which an Estimating Student contributes to our team:

Responsibilities
  • Work with PCL's estimating tools and forms
  • Review quantity survey assignments
  • Complete assigned quantity surveys
  • Coordinate with purchasing department for pricing
  • Support lead estimator with necessary data
  • Engage in subtrade solicitation
  • Manage bid documents
  • Participate on bid days
  • Visit job sites as required
  • Build relationships with subcontractors
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Passion for construction industry
  • Previous field construction experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in various software programs such as word processing and spreadsheets

Salary Range: $20-$26
