BRI specializes in bioanalytical LC/MS/MS, In-vitro / In-vivo Drug Metabolism / Pharmacokinetics and drug product pre-clinical and clinical development in Canada, USA, Europe and Japan. Our facility is accredited by AAALAC and conforms to GLP guidance.
We are seeking highly motivated team players that enjoy the fast pace, self-learning and highly regulated environment of a CRO.
The Laboratory Assistant I will handle a variety of tasks including purchasing and restocking the laboratory, inventory, shipping/receiving, logging in samples and reagents, laboratory cleaning and general maintenance, filing and archiving documents and various laboratory records. The Laboratory Assistant I must be capable of and responsible for carrying out the work and the quality control associated with the work knowledgeably. When problems arise, the Laboratory Assistant I should bring them to the management's attention.
Qualification:
Requires post-secondary diploma preferably with a science background, and/or equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience in pharmaceutical contract research and GLP compliance knowledge is an asset. Good written and verbal communication skills. Strong planning, organization and leadership abilities. Competent and self-motivated individual able to work independently. Good logical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, holidays, extended shifts and/or extra shifts, sometimes on short notice. Ability to work under specific time constraints.Duties and responsibilities will include:
Purchasing of all laboratory supplies and equipment Ensure all supplies are ordered in a timely manner Maintain purchasing documentation Verify received products against initial order Restock supplies in the laboratory as needed Maintain chemical, materials, consumables and supplies inventory Receive ordered materials and other shipments Receive and log in all sample submissions Release/ship material to appropriate clients or suppliers Maintain shipping and receiving documentation and up-date file accordingly Authorize receipt and dispatch of supplies from storage, ensuring that storage conditions are adequate and assessing the stock to detect and / or prevent deterioration Clean laboratory glassware and surfaces Maintain storage area in a clean and organized manner Help with general facility maintenance as needed File and stamp study folders and forms as needed File documents as appropriate to ensure easy retrieval Archive laboratory records and documents, study and facility records Archive electronic data files Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the archive rooms and cabinets, and that the archives are well organized and indexed. Maintain all documentation to ensure the GLP requirements are met Other tasks as required
