The Digital Experience and Customer Empowerment (DXC) organization creates best-in-class experiences for customers as they discover, try, buy, use, and renew access to our products.

We also create self-service tools to automate internal processes. The Experience Design (XD) team within DXC includes interaction design, visual design, research, and content strategy.

The Creative Technologist will join a team creating customer-facing experiences and will work closely with our design system, content design and visual design teams to establish communication and efficiency between design and engineering.

You will work across many different parts of the organization with a focus on increasing the efficiency of the users utilizing our design systems, creating interactive prototypes, and helping to create a seamless, end-to-end customer journey.


Responsibilities:

As a Creative Technologist, your projects might include:

  • Deliver engaging web experiences using the latest front-end technologies
  • Provide technical guidance and collaborate across product, engineering, and design teams through the full product development cycle
  • Identify and prioritize efforts most impactful to design and engineering
  • Build tools and frameworks that can be largely used by the broader design and engineering teams
  • Stay current on emerging technologies
  • research and make informed recommendations on implementation
  • Stay current on design and brand trends collaborating with creatives and designers to ensure design intent is realized and even exceeded in production
  • Clearly communicating project status, risks, and challenges
Minimum Qualifications- 7+ years experience in both design and development- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on cross-functional teams solving customer challenges through problem definition, workflow analysis, schematics, wireframes, and prototypes- Basic knowledge of customer journeys and how to identify opportunities for content touchpoints- Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex ideas, varied viewpoints, and large amounts of data to their essence- Experience with Figma and other current design tools Experience with vector and motion graphics, including SVG, HTML5 Canvas, and Animation via JavaScript and CSS- Amazing communication and collaboration skills- Comfort in an extremely fast-paced environment with constantly evolving processes- Portfolio of work - specifying your involvement in each project you present

Preferred Qualifications- MA/MFA degree in Computer Science, Design or related technical field or equivalent practical experience- Experience with agile software design methods- Experience building brand experiences and marketing websites that are global and localized- Expertise in designing and implementing multi-channel experiences- Experience creating localized products for an international audience- Experience working with OpenGL and/or WebGL (directly or via libraries like ) a plus- Experience working with Headless CMS, (esp Contentful) a plus- Experience with user experience design for desktop software- Knowledge of Autodesk products- Experience in large global enterprise organizations
